Me/Now: A Baker's Dozen [20 July 2025]

Me/Now, an amoral, narcissistic, pathological liar, was convicted of committing 34 felonies and instigated the January 6th insurrection against the United States, but was still re-elected four years later. In his first six months, what has he "accomplished" besides earning the lowest 100-day job approval rating of any president ever?

His supporters often appear stunned that anyone thinks that Me/Now is not the ideal President that they firmly believe he is. He are some brief arguments as to why these supporters need to open their eyes, minds, and hearts and realize that no one is perfect, and some people are far from it.

General Reasons:

  1. Pardoned hundreds of insurrectionists who were found guilty and already serving prison terms.
  2. Uses crude and dehumanizing language to create division, hostility and our highest rate of hate crimes.
  3. Appointed the most unqualified cabinet in history based solely on absolute loyalty and willingness to lie.
  4. Used his office for retribution against anyone perceived as disloyal and circumvented the Constitution's Emolument Clause to personally enrich himself by leveraging his position as President.
On Domestic Policy:
  1. Attacked universities and terminated funding if they didn't align with his personal objectives to control curriculum, hiring, and admissions.
  2. Used armed, masked, and unidentified agents to profile based on racial characteristics, arresting and deporting them without due process.
  3. Abused power through unlawful executive orders and presidential pardons, the latter as quid pro quo bargains.
  4. Forced a bill that made permanent the tax cuts from his first term which will decrease the tax burden of the wealthy while increasing the tax burden on the poor and increasing the national debt by $3-5 trillion over 10 years.
On International Policy:
  1. Implemented random, chaotic and unplanned tariffs that have hurt the economy and small business futures for years to come as well as our global reputation as an honest broker.
  2. Admired authoritarian leaders and aligned with Putin while withdrawing support from Ukraine, after failing to end the war on his first day as President as promised, while continuing his verbal and financial attacks on our allies.
  3. Dismantled USAID, WHO, Roe v Wade, the CDC, the Department of Education, EPA regulations, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, and many federal grants programs.
  4. The unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation, Iran, without Congressional approval
A recent addition to complete the Baker's Dozen:
  1. Brought a career of grift into the White House, most recently via a shakedown lawsuit against Paramount Global, described as frivolous by 1st amendment experts but which was settled with the 'protection money' payout of $16 million to allow the merger desired by Paramount owner Sheri Redstone to be approved by the Trump-controlled FCC.

With a lot of luck, this list might be the final 'Bottom 13' or his Presidency. Bit don't hold your breath.
