CEE 123 Transportation Systems III: Planning and Forecasting

Review of Pre-requisite Material
Instructor: Professor MG McNally <mmcnally-at-uci-dot-edu>

PRE-REQUISITE MATERIAL
CEE123 is an elective that is required in the BSCE Transportation specialization, an elective in the BSCE General specialization, and an option as the BSCE Engineering Design Elective. CEE123 has a pre-requisite (CEE121) and a co-requisite (CEE110).
  1. CEE 121 Transportation Systems I: Analysis and Design
Provides an introduction to travel forecasting [Chapter 8 Mannering et al].
  2. CEE 110 Methods III: Modeling, Economics, and Management
CEE 110 introduces two topics critical to CEE 123: (a) statistical modeling, including regression analysis (for model building) and (b) engineering economics, including project cost estimation and evaluation.
REVIEW OF PRIOR MATERIAL
To ensure familiarity with fundamental material introduced in prior courses, each student in CEE 123 must:
• Complete Homework 1: Review of Prior Material
• Satisfactorily complete Quiz #1 on prior material.
